“It’s not that chocolates are a substitute for love. Love is a substitute for chocolate. Chocolate is, let’s face it, far more reliable than a man.” – Miranda Ingram

“A teddy bear is a faithful friend. You can pick him up at either end. His fur is the color of breakfast toast, and he’s always there when you need him most.” – Author Unknown.

“Life is short. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly.” – Robert Doisneau

“Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupery

I just want to post a few cute quotations I saw as I browse through one site after another.

incorporating..

I’ll be incorporating the posts in my old blog (hosted by blogger) to this blog so it would be on one place.

I know I made this blog for my thesis. But I’m too lazy to write in other blogs so I’ll have it all here. Except, of course, the blog which I write in my native tongue.

cheers!

I’ve got the best boyfriend!

•November 28, 2007 • Leave a Comment

My boyfriend, Lucky, and I rarely sees each other anymore.

But…

We went out today after 9 days of not seeing each other. (yes, I’ve counted. I’m so mushy. But what do you expect? I’m so longing for him. I missed him so much).

Well, we’ve been so busy these past few weeks.

Me – because of my thesis, studies and my well… social life. As you can see, most of our planned thesis days somewhat turns out to be a chilling/social time with friends.

Him – because of his studies as well.. and his duties at the hospital(he’s a student nurse). Oh, and their family has a business and he helps out when he can. Yeah, he’s always a busy man.

We went out, looked for books, ate, went home, and well, hang out at my house.

It was a simple day but it was so perfect.

He even told me I looked pretty today. haha! what a guy.

And yes, he spoiled me with food and attention. Actually, I’m pretty much a spoiled girlfriend. He’s not complaining. And I’m certainly won’t complain either. I mean, It’s not my problem that he treats me like that. Right?

I know I’m a good girlfriend (modesty aside) and in all fairness, He’s the best boyfriend and girl could ever wish for.

Sure, he’s not my ideal guy (well, physically. I would like tall, dark and handsome man — he is quite tall, I admit, but he is so fair! But hey, I would have picked him if I would have to pick between HIM and a tall, dark and handsome guy. haha.)

Sorry, I’m just so happy.

And before he went home,He asked me the day of our 18th month anniversary!

Aww. I just love it when he remembers dates and stuff like that.

I mean, not many guys are like that.

Ha!

And guess what? HE TOLD ME HE’LL VISIT ME AGAIN TOMORROW!

I’m definitely spoiled!

Saw this on blogthings.com (i took the quiz and these are the results. sorry for being so mushy/fluffy, I’m just so in love!)

He's a Great Boyfriend

You guy definitely loves you and knows how to treat you right.
You have a five star boyfriend - so make sure you treat him right too!

Bowling Birthday

•November 18, 2007 • Leave a Comment

We went to the south today to attend the birthday party of Lovely. (saturday, Nov. 17)
I went to the school at around 12:40 since they said to meet them at around 1pm. I arrived early and waited for them. I called my friend, Elaine, and she told me that she accompanied Rhoy (love’s beau) who is picking up flowers for Love.

After a few minutes, they arrived one by one… but we still waited for Glen.

It is so sunny/windy that day and Glen is so late so we agreed that we would not talk to him unless he bring in a car.

Luckily, he did.

and so the journey to the south begins.

Did I tell you that I’m not used to long travels?

I am. and we were 7 in the car. Imagine that! It’s so hot and it’s not very comfortable but fast-forward.. we arrived at the site.

We ate first, then played bowling. Then after bowling, we went to the karaoke bar to sing and eat (again).

It was already dinner time when we said our goodbyes.

And off we went to go to the north again.

Tiring, fun day.

PS. the day would have been perfect, but I’ve learned from my thesis-partner that our prospect topic was taken! Argh!

AU REVOIR GAIA!!!

•November 13, 2007 • Leave a Comment

I had to temporarily say goodbye to gaia.

Gaia is this site I had been addicted to for the past few months. I am actually a member since 2004 but I also quit 3 years ago to concentrate on my studies and I’m doing it again.

I bid farewell to my gaia friends and family who had been my companion on the site. It’s been a blasted year for me at that site. I’ve gained friends, and memories.

As much as I don’t like to admit it, I’m addicted to the site. Yes, I’m very much am. And to be addicted to a site would be very bad for my thesis. It would be better if get addicted to the thesis subject itself. haha. I wish!

Anyway,

I don’t know when I’ll be back from my hiatus status in gaiaonline, probably after I finish my thesis which would be on October 2008.

So yeah, I will be gone for a year. I hope my friends have not forgotten about me by then.

So.. Au Revoir Gaiaonline!

Real life would be taking most of my time now.

I mean, the thesis.

Cheers!

BOYCOTT AND KRISPY KREME

•November 13, 2007 • Leave a Comment

(credits: www.krispykreme.com.ph)Today is supposed to be a “no classes day” as the secretary general of the University have announced last night due to the faculty union thing. However, at around 10pm, we got a text message saying that the sec-gen took back what he had announced earlier and said that the college/professors would be the one to decide if there would be classes or not.

WTF???

So again, chaos. Misunderstandings. Annoyance.

We had agreed that evening that NO ONE from our class would go and attend a class. But sadly, there are some people who did attend the class. Yeah, and the LEADER is….. our very own PRESIDENT!

The same president who have said that there would be no classes.
The same president who did not confirm that she would go to class.
The same president who had stained our class unity (if there is any)

Argh!
I don’t like her.
No one from our group of friends do.
Actually, she doesn’t have a friend. lol. or if she does have any, it’s just one and that’s because the girl who she befriended is nice.

I mean, wtf? The whole class agreed and there she goes… sabotaging everyone of us who had already set our minds that there would be no class.

Argh, she is so annoying.

Anyway, enough of that irresponsible, selfish president. (yeah, don’t mind me. I’m angry. Most of my friends/classmates are)

Today, I really am supposed to go to school.
Why?
Because tomorrow, we were supposed to go the seminar and my friend, Elaine have to buy an outfit for the said event. (we have to wear corporate attires)
And she sent me a text message last night and told me to go to school and accompany her to the mall to find an outfit. (along with jen and glen)

However, we were told that only 5 representatives from our class could go to the said seminar. And guess what? 22 students from our class signed up for that seminar! waaahh.. they shouldn’t have encouraged us to be in that seminar or even told us that we could even be in it. They’re just getting our hopes up.

So, I guess we won’t be going to the said seminar. Too bad. That would have looked good in my resume. Oh well.

Anyway, since we won’t be scouting for an outfit,
at first, we thought of going to the library and brainstorm/search for journals/anything about the thesis but we decided to go the the mall (Trinoma) and sing at the karaoke place.
(since this would be the last day where we could have fun. We would be very busy starting tomorrow)
So there we went, strolled first and visited Zara and some other stores and looked for prospect outfit for the membership night (mem night). Then we ate at Kenny Rogers and strolled some more. We drank coffee, ate krispy kreme (hence, the picture) and went home.
[oh, the krispy kreme made my day. I was actually smiling while eating it. I enjoyed eating it. Though it's too sweet for my taste, I think I'm falling in love with krispy kreme doughnuts.]
That’s what happened but the funny thing is…. we went there at around 10am and went home at around 6pm. haha. what a day.
A day at the mall. How constructive. Really.
We should have used the time looking for journals, sleep(for heaven knows, we were very much lacking in sleep nowadays). or just rest
but we went to the mall and had a good time with friends.

But it’s all worth it.
The thesis would come later.
Right now, before we start the thesis, we would enjoy our lives as college students who strive hard in getting good grades but at the same time, college students who enjoy our college life with friends who would be there through thick and thin.
Be it happy moments or dreadful thesis moments.
Have to enjoy life!
Cheers!

PERFORMANCE BLUES

•November 12, 2007 • Leave a Comment

This blog is long overdue. I should have written it last Saturday but I was dead tired that day and yesterday my blood pressure is so low one would be shocked as to how I could still smile. lol.

My blood pressure is 80/50.. haha.. shocking huh?So, here goes..

We had a general assembly last Saturday.
We have a class from 8am to 11am. but our professors are kind enough to just let us practice and cancel the class.
My 10-11 am class was postponed because our agriculture-industrial economics professor had a meeting.
So, at 10 am we ditch the classroom and ate at McDonalds. (yeah, the calories)
and after that, we went to the education building’s auditorium (in another college) and changed into our costumes and waited for the program to start.

Our class theme is BLUES. and we were dressed in the 30’s to 50’s look. (a little modern, in a way)
I had on a white blouse that looks victorian-ish and a brown skirt the just fell below my knees and the design is kinda old-ish. haha.

We complimented each other how we looked “cute” even though our theme is supposed to be old. haha.

anyway, fast-forward to the “performance”… it was down-right humiliating! haha!
We only practiced for a few days. (3 days to be exact) and we haven’t really done a good presentation. But all in all, we had fun. And that’s what matters the most.

Done with the general assembly..
the next thing to be fussing about is…. THE THESIS!

yeah, I’m scared of that.
I’ll be starting my thesis. I should actually be starting this now but my group (we’re composed of 3 girls) still have a topic to decide on. And we haven’t even brainstormed yet.
Lots of things to do this week.

Just by thinking about it gives me a headache.

til ensuite!

TIRING WET DAY

•November 9, 2007 • Leave a Comment

I hope the title had not misled you.

lol.

It rained hard today. Good thing, I have an umbrella.
Last semester, I’ve misplaced/lost 2 umbrellas and 1 was stolen.
Now, my mother bought me a new green umbrella and
I had used it for the first time today. Yeah, milestone. haha.

So, it rained.
Have I mentioned that I hate rain?

(apologies for those rain fans out there. You may love rain, but I do not. I mean, it’s relative just like beauty.)
and yeah, I dunno why I hate it.
Probably because:
1.) some people get emotional when there’s rain.
-yeah, looking at rain sometimes do that to most people.
why? prolly because they’re stuck at home and can’t think of anything besides emo. lol.
2.) i hate it when there’s mud/rain water in the exterior of my shoes.
-i feel dirty. well, who likes getting their shoes/feet dirty?
answer: no one.
3.)I can’t go out.
-self explanatory. prolly the reason for #1.
4.)I hate getting my umbrella from my bag.
-I’m a lazy girl, shoot me. you can blame sloth for this. and think about all those umbrellas you have to dodge while walking. It’s troublesome.
5.)It’s already hard to walk on ugly streets/path walks but it’s harder to walk on WET and MUDDY streets/paths/whatever.
-again, troublesome.
6.)If there’s rain, expect that people are on their klutz mode. 2x clumsiness than normal.
-yeah, It’s hard to walk and with all those mud, and wet floors. We can’t avoid accidents and… humiliation.
7.)I just hate it.
-relative. don’t ask.

But this you should ask..

why rain is the topic today?
because… it rained hard today.
and as always, I got pissed just by seeing it pouring from the window.
Actually, just having to get the umbrella from my bag makes me pissed.
To top it off, we have to practice for a dance number and there’s limited places where we could do that.
Damn rain.
We had planned to practice in one of the parks at the school but since it’s raining, we can’t.
Damn rain.
We could have gone home earlier. But instead, we had waited for the rain to stop.
Damn rain.
Damn rain.
Dammit.

I’m off, I’m too tired and I’m hungry.
ciao!

SCREAM!!!

I don’t really know why I bothered putting a tagboard/shoutbox/screambox/whatever in this blog.
No one knows this blog anyway. Not my friends, not my college buddies, not even my family. lol.
This is my safe haven. A place where I can blog what I want, think, hear, and like.
Like a journal of some sort.
But I have to say, written journals don’t really stay that long in my possession. Normally, I would get tired writing in it.
And I’m more adept to computers anyway and well.. this is easier.

And besides, I have unlimited internet in my house so It’s more convenient that way.

And I love convenience. *smirks*

*oh, you can say/type what you want in the tagboard. That’s what it is for.
Friends who had looked me up in this site. Stalked probably? Those who desperately needed me should also type something in that shoutbox. Maybe gaia friends? (those who want me to log in for a few minutes. haha) because I’m trying to stay away from that site for the time being. (because of my thesis). Gaia is so addicting that if I say I’d only be on for like 1 hour, it would normally stretch to 4-6 hours. Yeah, that’s how addicting it is.*

-enough rants, time to study for public sector-

HELL WEEK

•November 8, 2007 • Leave a Comment

Today is thursday.
I started my second semester last tuesday.
and guess what?
I’m freaking tired already.

Last tuesday, me and my girl friends(since sophomore high school) went out after a 3-week vacation we called the semestral break or sembreak.
We sang, ate donuts at krispy kreme, ate again… but this time,we ate blizzard ice cream from Dairy Queen.
Oh, my sweet tooth. lol. (I’m not really addicted to sweets. I actually hate it when something is too sweet. Mild sweet is good.)
We would have strolled along the mall but the plan was sabotaged when we saw redbox.
Red box is a karaoke place in the mall. It’s kinda expensive but the service is really good and the place is… wow. They have flat-screen television, air conditioning units and the couch is oh-so-comfortable. The walls are comfy as well… and very soft.
I would like to have a place like that in my home in the future. lol.

So that’s Tuesday. I actually have a practice that day but I ditched it just to be with my girlies. lol. I mean, it’s just one day.

On wednesday… well.. I did practiced and memorized the dance number and it’s kinda smexxy! lol. And it’s fun dancing “shake ya tail feather”. *sweat*

Today, major boring day. I have 5 classes today but fortunately, we were dismissed early because our professor had a meeting.
The timing would be oh-so-awesome if not for the room availability for the practice of the dance. We had lunch at 11:30am, went to the mall and went to a karaoke place again. Yeah, we love to sing. lol.
We went back to school at around 3pm to practice for the dance…
fast forward, we went home at around 5pm and I’m too tired to go anywhere else and gladly, my college friends agreed. So we went home. and slept.

I’m really freaking tired this week.
And yeah, I still have a homework to do. A journal (business journal to read… and understand) and I still have yet to find a costume for Saturday’s presentation. Damn.
This is week is totally nuts.
